SAM Update 2-24-17
Happy Friday SAM Members!
It's tournament time all across the state. I hope your teams and the community that supports them are doing well, and that you are doing well managing all of the many things in your area of responsibility as spring approaches. We are deep in the legislative session here in Helena and our office is also planning for upcoming professional development opportunities for you. Here are a few items for your consideration ...
2017 Legislative Session Update
Today is the 41st day of the 65th Montana Legislative Session. In general the session is moving faster than normal and there are fewer bills (about 750) being consider than in recent past sessions. It appears that at the end of the day today, the legislators will have taken action on all bills intended to meet transmittal (moving from one house to the other) that was scheduled for March 1, and that they will take next week off for transmittal break. Our SAM members have been active in the 1st half of the session and I thank our members who are serving on the SAM Legislative Network for their effort to keep pace with all that is happening and for being in contact with legislators in their area regarding bills of importance to SAM advocacy priorities.
