Superintendent of the Year
At the annual Montana Conference of Education Leadership held in Billings, Tobin Novasio, Superintendent of Lockwood Schools, was selected as the 2016-17 Superintendent of the Year for Montana.  The award is sponsored by the Montana Association of School Superintendents (MASS).

The Montana Association of School Superintendents (MASS), in collaboration with the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), annually recognizes and rewards outstanding leadership in the superintendency.  This program seeks to honor those strong Montana school district leaders who work successfully with their entire learning communities to provide the highest quality education that is possible.  

Regional Superintendent of the Year 
Each of the nine MASS regions selects a Regional Superintendent of the Year.  Those candidates are then in contention for the Montana Superintendent of the Year Award.   The 2016-17 Regional Superintendents of the Year are:
Bob Connors, MASS Northeast Region
Loyd Rennaker, MASS Western Region
DK Brooks, MASS North Central Region
Tobin Novasio, MASS South Central Region
Annette Hart, MASS Central Region
Robert DoBell, MASS 4-Rivers Region
Cal Ketchum, MASS Northwest Region
Jim Hansen, MASS Southeast Region
Brad Moore, MASS Hi Line Region 
These Regional winners were presented their awards during the MASS Fall Conference on September 19, 2016 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bozeman, Montana.
