MAEMSP President's Message

Dear MAEMSP Members,

As we head into the 2017-2018 school year, I want to thank you for your continued efforts to help support and better the lives of all of our elementary and middle school students, families and staffs.  I also want to take time and thank you for allowing me to be your President of the MAEMSP organization.  Our work during this school year will be challenging and rewarding, and I want you to know that you have a support system in place with MAEMSP and the SAM office in Helena.  Please use this resource to make your 2017-2018 school year a great one!!

As in any great organization, you need to have a strategic plan in place to understand our work.  Below are the four big categories of the MAEMSP Strategic Plan.  These four goals help frame the work we do daily within our buildings and districts.  Please review these below and ask yourself this question, “How can you help our organization achieve these four goals?”

  1.  MAEMSP will empower leaders by recruiting quality educators into the principalship, develop induction practices, and promote the importance of the principalship.
  2. MAEMSP will promote and facilitate quality professional development.
  3. MAEMSP will train principals to advocate for state and national legislation to ensure Montana students will receive a quality public education.
  4. MAEMSP will promote and demonstrate the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Have a rewarding 2017-1018 school year and do not forget that MAEMSP is your PRINCIPAL link to leading and learning. You can follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Montana-Association-of-Elementary-and-Middle-School-Principals-286309238203770/.
