MAEMSP President's Message

Greetings MAEMSP Members,

The 2019-2020 school year is here! Game on! Time to change lives, listen to stories of summer happenings, tears over who is in the classes, and say goodbye to sleeping in….and that is just with your staff! The wee people will be in our buildings very soon and we will all set about to make their learning experiences as special and individual as they are.

I am honored to represent all of you as President of MAEMSP for this year. Please reach out to me if I can be of any assistance to you as you do the incredibly valuable work we do. Do NOT feel alone in your building. We are 350+ strong as an organization and need to view and utilize each other as resources. Part of what we love about our work is how no two days are alike, but know that one of us has probably experienced something similar and lived to tell about it. Let’s make each other stronger. Come to meetings. Run for office. Get fellow educators involved. Sponsor a future leader in your building to join the organization. We have strength and stability in our size.

SAM provides much support for the work we do.  Take advantage of these resources:  SAM website, LPLP program, the many conferences, the Community Forum, and become aware of the resources available to you.  The supports and learning available are fantastic and the staff is second to none.

Best wishes for a successful year with lots of smiles, hugs, and achievements.
